39FILMS (39F), is an independent audiovisual production company based in Italy, founded in 2011 by Dario Lanis and Alfredo Federico.
39F produces documentaries and features films, mainly focused on social and political contents.
39F coproduced films and documentaries with many countries around the world, from documentaries in Tajikistan or Iran to the first Italian official coproductions with Kosovo or Georgia.
In 2014, 39F has began the collaboration with Simona Banchi, producer of several films and documentaries (The factory of the German, Fascists on Mars, Viva Zapatero, The reasons for lobster, Draquila, 148 Stefan and Despite the fog by Goran Paskaljievic).
Works by 39F have been selected in many international festivals (Warsaw Film Festival, Rome Film Festival, RIFF, San Sebastian, Toulouse, Bafici, Toronto, Havana and many others) available on many worldwide platforms (NETFLIX, PRIME VIDEO, CHILI, FILMIN)
Last projects include Andromeda Galaxy directed by More Raca, Negative Numbers directed by Uta Beria, Soledad directed by Agustina Macri and Takeaway directed by Renzo Carbonera.

About the CEO
In 2006 Alfredo Federico was actively involved with The Latin American Film Company, which produced many high-profile arthouse films such as Tropa de Elite, directed by Jose Padilha (Berlin Film Festival, Golden Bear Winner, 2008), The Burning Plain directed by Guillermo Arriaga (Venice Film Festival, Official Competition, M. Mastroianni Award, 2008. In 2011 he founded 39FILMS in Italy and since 2018 he has been a member of the European Film Academy.
